This piece depicts the anxiety I sometimes feel when I’m bike commuting in Chicago. I happened to find this smashed doll and rosary on the street while I was biking one day when I was particularly stressed out about an interaction with an angry driver. I combined it with three other found objects to make this piece: a jewel from a smashed piece of jewelry, some metal leaves from of one of the Chicago boulevard signs, and random fake eyelash. I find that it’s good to get that fear and anxiety out of my system so I can go out and have fun on my bike commute to work.
