This is a painting of an enormous snapping turtle that I saw on a visit to a prairie one hot summer day. My mom used to love eating snapping turtle soup, so I guess I was thinking about that while doodling on the background. Eating snapping turtles seems very alien to me – I guess that’s where the aliens came from. I really have no idea about the rest of it.
